People continue to make money with non-fungible tokens. Abigail is a 14-year-old artist and student. Her collection of NFT belugas was sold in less than ten hours, and she earned more than $1 million in Solana coins in total. Abigail had always loved to draw since she was a child, and her 25-year-old brother Adam is a crypto trader. He works in the art world as a buyer and seller. Adam was the one who explained how the NFT works to her sister and led them on a joint mission.

After explaining how the market works and emphasizing non-fungible tokens, the 14-year-old artist decided to get involved in it. In the local aquarium, she saw a beluga, and immediately, the idea of the first NFT emerges in her mind. Abigail has designed over 167 accessories, including glasses, hats, and other items, in addition to the beluga image. She used iPhone 8 to create the majority of the drawings.

The brother and sister then approached a programmer, who created a script to create beluga whales with decorations. As a result, they amassed nearly 8,000 unique photographs. The total number of belugas included 8,000 “Belugies,” which are one-of-a-kind images. The asking price for NFT tokens on the Alpha Art marketplace was 0.8 SOL which is approx $160. Within ten hours, all of the tokens had been sold, earning Adam and Abigail more than $1 million.

On the secondary market six days later, the minimum value for one beluga whale was SOL 0.27 which is approx $ 54. The buying and selling volume reached SOL 7200 which is $ 1.43 million. The brother and sister receive 5% royalties from the resale of each whale and have already earned $72,000.

They donated 20% of the profits to charity, with 10% going to a noncommercial organization that helps belugas and 10% going to Sunshine Kids, a charity that helps children with cancer. A total of $200,000 was donated to charity. The group will continue on their mission, with plans to give away 100 reserved belugas and publish a children’s book about their characters.
